Since i am a total newbie to spinning pole, the private lesson with Bobbi I had in the Sydney Studio was extremely tiring (although I had the hour shared with a friend)…. This experience is totally challenging, as the poles there are soooo thin! I guess they are only 38mm poles while I am used to fatty 50mm poles…

anyway, I somehow managed to learn something new – inverted pole splits.

Went to the Lamma Island (南丫島) today, saw this “pole-able” street pole on the way from “Sok Koo Wan” (索罟灣) to Yung Shue Wan (榕樹灣) so decided to do a stupid impromptu act :p

There were a few elderlies sitting opposite the pole while I was doing the climb (see the pic on the right)… they warned me the “sharpness” of those signs! They were all saying “Be aware of the signs! Their edges are really sharp!!”… You know, I was sooooo touched, cos I thought they were going to say I was crazy (I was expecting loads of “Chi sin” [*]). Once again this proves that the Islanders are alot friendlier than city people! (Highlanders from Scotland are nice too :p)

However… my friends reminded me that there might be dog pee … oppps! So be aware of dog poo poo and pee pee in the future girls!

:p

My friend asked me on how to get into the Ballerina, and since I’ve typed quite a long reply, I’m gonna paste it here as some small info.

to get into the ballerina, the easy way:
1) you climb up the pole
2) Cross your leg into a pole seat
3) Move your body to the front of the pole, i.e. the pose on the right (I have no idea on what it is called)
4) Keeping your lower leg on the pole, and make sure it is secure…. hook your lower leg’s foot as shown in the photo.
5) Release your upper leg, point it out as far as you can, and press the pole tight with your armpit!

That’s it! It is very easy to get into this pose but difficult to HOLD on it >.< (you’ll get painful armpit!)

OK, the difficult way (sounds very simple though)
1) Do the back grip spin (forgot that it is called, it’s something like the corkscrew but you put your weaker arm behind your back while spinning)
2) get into the pretzel
3) Hook your “weaker” leg
4) release everything else

Just a small tip here:
I spin with my left hand (though I am a right hander…) so I hook my opposite, i.e. right leg on the pole. And as you can see in the photo you sent me, she spins with her right hand and so she hook her left leg on the pole. But I guess that’s a matter of personal preference…

Hope these helps :)

Have fun

I “felt” it was funny to pole dance with a Chupa Chups, only realised how dangerous it was!
Luckily nothing bad happened :-)

Remember – safe poling!

Got my shoulder mount last Friday (finally! It took me like 4 months to do it… cos it was tooo painful and I kept on giving up :p)… have had horrible muscle pain on my right shoulder for like a week and I decided to give it a go today (yes, it was the first time I did shoulder mount ever since I’ve got it…)

Anyway, thought it would be fun/nice to do a superman from shoulder mount, and here’s the result. It was done in quite an ugly + funny way… but hey, it was my first… gonna practise more :)

Also did a shoulder mount -> inverted thigh hold -> superman… but donno why my stupid cam didn’t record it >.<

China Town (nightclub) promotion?

Just thought it would be cute to have a little panda with my red Chinese dress :p

It was an impromptu thing…. thought it would be fun to do another round of studio-like shot at home, after acquiring some disposable red carpets from B&Q :p

Did it with a friend and she dressed up as ballet bunny! Hee

p.s. wrong ISO used, resulting in high noises… would definitely get this right in the future ;)

p.p.s. see other pics below :)

I have been wanting to do this for ages: set up a studio-like area for taking pole dancing shots. I know this isn’t perfect but the results look OK… (most importantly, it cost under HKD200!).

Here’s the stuff you need:

1) Expendable curtain rail

2) Some kind of cheap fabric (light-blocking one preferred)

This is a trial shot as (it is obvious):

1) no proper lighting

2) you can still see the floor

3) no proper makeups (hee)

…. etc

Here’s another stupid shot:
