After a romantic dinner in Central, I got a bit hyper after a few drinks (it was obvious that I didn't drive) and we decided to walk home... I then saw one of these street "poles" and decided to do a bit of pole dance on it.... and the idea of collecting a set of photos with me doing different pole poses on these "poles" was created. Some I came across by random and some I did look for them on purpose. I originally only expect to find 19 as there are only 19 regional districts in Hong Kong.
They are indeed directional signs, which are part of the "Visitor Signage Improvement Scheme" implemented by the Hong Kong Tourism Commission. Read more about these "poles" in the about page :-p
